Job Profile: Lead Montessori Guide

Position Overview: The Lead Montessori Guide at Future Scholars Montessori Preschool is responsible for curating and delivering the Montessori curriculum alongside the Directress. Lead Montessori Guide will also be responsible for training the teachers, teaching assistants and guiding students through their educational journey. This role involves creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment, fostering a love for learning, and facilitating each child’s development in accordance with Montessori principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and implement Montessori-based lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs and interests of each student. Ensure the curriculum is engaging and aligns with Montessori philosophy.

• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a well-organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment. Manage classroom dynamics to promote positive behavior and ensure a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.

• Individualized Instruction: Observe and assess each student's progress and developmental needs. Provide personalized guidance and support to help students achieve their learning goals and foster independence.

• Student Development: Encourage and support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. Facilitate their exploration and discovery while promoting self-confidence and a love of learning.

• Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and collaborate with parents to support student development.

• Record Keeping: Document student progress, achievements, and areas needing improvement. Maintain accurate and confidential records related to student assessments and classroom activities.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other Montessori teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Participate in team meetings, share insights, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

• Professional Development: Stay current with Montessori practices and educational best practices through ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

• AMI Montessori diploma is mandatory.

• Multilingual proficiency in English, Arabic and French is desired.

• Proven experience as a Montessori teacher or in a similar educational role.

• Deep understanding of the Montessori method and child development principles.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Passion for fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment.
